8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 are Googles main public DNS, but it is a long way from you. You need local, fast and reliable. The ISPs usually have lousy DNS systems. Glad you found one that would down under.
Part of the problem is that I set the DNS and the alt DNS, but the settings don't stick, even though I have it set to manual. The next time I check the values they've been altered to something else, like http://106.186.17.181.ipaddress.com/
Googles was 8.8.8.8 in there.
