GOOGLE+ just tried to sneak the "New Google+" on me. NO thanks. It makes it MUCH harder for me to use Google+.

  1. They did get it past me this morning. Not so bad but I do feel violated.

  2. It's not good, but the old g+ days are numbered. Probably the best we can do is give the new one a go - it's a lot better than it was at first - and keep using the 'send feedback' button.

  4. I had a brief look at it again, and again rejected it. Why can't they have more than one layout. Especially when you have people who are either a) not using a tablet or phone, and b) might have visual problems.

  5. I've long used the 'accessibility' setting in g+ which gives me a single-column layout - that's the only tweak I know about. Other than increasing the font size, which I do for most websites.

  6. I prefer a 2 column layout, but in LARGE TEXT.

  7. You could probably do something with a bookmarklet. I use one to turn grey text into black text - and another, sometimes, to turn white backgrounds into grey backgrounds.

  8. Ah, I've played around with stuff like that as well. Too often such things are more of a pain than the issue they fix. Ideally Google would design it RIGHT first. Not an ideal world though. ;)
