"Tesla’s Spirit Radio uses a simple crystal radio circuit connected to a computer sound-in jack to generate spooky sounds from all kinds of electromagnetic sources."

In other words, and early Theremin.

I think for me the significant points about this, is that viable and desirable electric cars are no longer a single company thing, and that they'll become far more widespread with multi-format charging stations. Nowhere near this in Australia yet.

I'm amused that an operating system that runs everything would be referred to with a Star Trek name. ;)

The 10,000 hours?

The 10,000 hours?
According to this Scientific American article, "the techniques of deliberate practice are most applicable to "highly developed fields" such as chess, sports, and musical performance in which the rules of the domain are well established and passed on from generation to generation."

It has some interesting ideas about what creativity involves otherwise, though I don't agree with some of them. I know a lot of creative people, and the two most common factors I've observed is that they are either "driven", "damaged", or both.

"While the Pelican successfully lifted off last Sunday, it did so under cautionary tethers. Its first untethered flight is expected to happen within the next few weeks. Eventually, the company hopes to produce a trio of Aeroscraft models: the 66-ton capacity ML866, the 250-ton ML868, and the 500-ton ML86X. There's even discussion of turning them into giant floating hotels for serene 80-day global circumnavigations."

We'll see - I've been hearing about this for a long long time.

Yet another 3D modeller.

Yet another 3D modeller. Impossible to get a feel of this from the website, which doesn't seem to show images as examples, except in the galley section. This free version rmports SKP, KMZ, DWG, DXF, DAE, OBJ and STL files. but only seems to export STL (one paid version exports to DWG, DXF, SAT, DAE, and STL). Bleaugh.
