As I've suspected for a long time, my Media PC is not the only desktop I have with a failing drive. I downloaded the portable version of this program (important because it has no crapware bundled with it) and tested my Studio PC. Sure enough my Samsung 750 GB drive has been playing up.
I've known that one of them had been for a few years now. At the time I was working through the Masters and focussed on drawing a graphic novel using Clip Studio Paint and Illustrator. The good news is that I can backup what's there on the external drives I have, and will probably replace it with a much BIGGER drive.
