    Some parts of the league actually really interesting. The teams for the standard platform league (depicted) use a pre-specified off the shelf commercial robot toy reprogrammed to play soccer. They started using the Sony Aibo robot dog but they were eventually replaced by the Aldebaran Robotics Nao (above).
