Cymatics reveals a strange & beautiful symmetry at work in nature. Inspired by the work of Dr Hans Jenny we create images using water and sound. Our images mirror the symmetries found throughout the natural world, from the hidden shapes buried within snowflakes to the massive hexagonal cloud formations found on Saturn. Cymatics.org is a gallery of our work and a resource for other artists.

Free for personal use, I have the older version of this but don't use it often. Some interesting new features though that might be handy for some of you. It sounded like you might be able to create a DAE file from a picture?
Later: A quick scroll down to features gave me this info on the DAE integration:
"Load a 3d model into the project grid and render normal maps, AO, curve, color ID, and depth from the model geometry."
May try it later. Impressive website entry that doesn't show up here - LOL.

Consider that if we knew the exact composition of the universe and all of its properties and had enough energy and know-how to draw upon, theoretically, we could break the universe down into ones and zeroes and using that information, reconstruct it from the bottom up.
Perhaps, but you would need more energy and matter than there is in the universe to do so I think. Humans tend to think in terms of dominant paradigms in science and technology. Thinking of the universe in terms of information matches a focus on connectivity and an an age of information networking. But the proposition quoted above is quite similar to that of a clockwork universe, and to me the idea that the universe might only be data and information, a revision of Platonic ideals.

On November 28, 1967 the First Pulsar Was Observed
PSR B1919+21 is a pulsar with a period of 1.3373 seconds, and a pulse width of 0.04 second. It was the first radio pulsar discovered on November 28, 1967 by Jocelyn Bell Burnell and Antony Hewish. The power and regularity of the signals was thought to resemble a beacon, so for a time the source was nicknamed "LGM-1" (for "Little Green Men").
The original designation of this pulsar was CP 1919 which stands for Cambridge Pulsar at R.A. 19h 19m. It is also known as PSR J1921+2153 and is located in the constellation of Vulpecul.
Jocelyn Bell Burnell was a graduate student and professor Antony Hewish was her thesis supervisor and head of the astronomy department at the University of Cambridge.
The two radio astronomers noted that the observed emission from the pulsar was pulses separated by 1.3373 seconds, originated from the same location on the sky, and kept to sidereal time.
► In the article at the following link, Jocelyn Bell Burnell tells a delightful, personal story of how she first encountered the signals and what ensued.>>
http://www.bigear.org/vol1no1/burnell.htm
► In 1974, when Martin Ryle and Antony Hewish were awarded the physics prize for discovery of pulsars, the cosmologist Fred Hoyle rose in wrath at the omission of Jocelyn Bell, the student astronomer who had made the initial radio-telescope observation that led to the discovery. Miss Bell, now Dr. Bell Burnell, has serenely ignored the claim.
Source>> http://www.nytimes.com/2003/10/20/opinion/no-nobel-prize-for-whining.html
Before the nature of the signal was determined, the researchers, Bell and her Ph.D supervisor Antony Hewish, somewhat seriously considered the possibility of extraterrestrial life.

Before female birds start to lay eggs, they form a calcium-rich structure called medullary bone on the inside of their leg and other bones; they draw on it during the breeding season to make eggshells. Schweitzer had studied birds, so she knew about medullary bone, and that’s what she figured she was seeing in that T. rex specimen.

The lamenters don’t seem to understand that increased productivity in one industry frees up resources and laborers for other industries, and, since increased productivity means increased real wages, demand for goods and services will increase as well. They seem to have a nonsensical apocalyptic view of a fully automated future with piles and piles of valuable goods everywhere, but nobody can enjoy them because nobody has a job. I invite the worriers to check out simple supply and demand analysis and Say’s Law.

Er, excuse me, but NO, this was NOT "created from electricity and carbon dioxide", it was "created with electricity and carbon dioxide". There's a big distinction here. The first - in English - as I understand it, means that it was created with ONLY those ingredients. However the article at http://us.tomonews.com/scientists-make-food-from-electricity-and-thin-air-3409110?utm_campaign=08042017%20food%20from%20electricity states...
The food-creating system uses a bioreactor, which contains water, microbes and nutrients such as nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus.
...so it's actually the microbes making the "food", probably as a byproduct of eating the nutrients. So it's making this stuff WITH electricity and carbon dioxide.
But is it really FOOD?

And I thought more people will be interested in learning how to do it with greater success:
1) This is how I find my old posts: search in G+ using your name and some of the terms you used in the post or comment you are trying to find.
2) Use "word1 word2" if you remember two words you used next to each other. If you cannot then just use word1 word2 without the " "
3) If you remember another plusser who posted or was tagged mentioned in the post or they made a comment to the post add their name to the search.
4) Continue searching different words. Longer strings of possible words.
5) Jaana Nyström suggested: Is it your own post? Then choose 'From you' in the dropdown after you have searched once.
6) Mark Traphagen in a post http://goo.gl/ZsTpH mentioned that if you remember the day and month of the post then add "23 May"
If you cannot remember the day then just add the month.
7) When you have searched click on the pause button. If you don't click pause posts will continue to scroll past.
BTW: I am not good at adding #tags but by adding it you may find your posts easier in the future. ;-)
EDIT: The Plussers added some more advice:
Kevin von Duuglas-Ittu you can also use http://ifttt.com/ and create recipe that archives all your posts to Twitter #hashtag or Evernote, etc.
