Er, excuse me, but NO, this was NOT "created from electricity and carbon dioxide", it was "created with electricity and carbon dioxide". There's a big distinction here. The first - in English - as I understand it, means that it was created with ONLY those ingredients. However the article at http://us.tomonews.com/scientists-make-food-from-electricity-and-thin-air-3409110?utm_campaign=08042017%20food%20from%20electricity states...
The food-creating system uses a bioreactor, which contains water, microbes and nutrients such as nitrogen, sulfur and phosphorus.
...so it's actually the microbes making the "food", probably as a byproduct of eating the nutrients. So it's making this stuff WITH electricity and carbon dioxide.
But is it really FOOD?

The Academy is real of course, and you can check it out at http://www.aka.fi/en/review-and-funding-decisions/, but funding something is not the same as APPROVING it.
