Gah, most of what I found on the net says the same thing - power everything down, wait 20-30 minutes, then try again. This will drive me nuts. To add insult to injury the UPS emailed me a bill for an "international surcharge" this morning. WTF?
I have to walk away from this for the rest of the day now, or I really will freakout.

Did you see the bit about changing the settings?
ReplyDeleteI'll have another read.
ReplyDeleteWhat Bill? Send it to me.
ReplyDeleteUPS has a bad habit of periodically sending parcels off for "GST Evaluation" even when they know damn well the parcel doesn't match the criteria (not a gift, over $1000 value). Australia Post then charges about $90 for the service which UPS then bills the recipient for.
ReplyDeleteUPS and FedEx are realllly bad choices for sending parcels to Australia because their Australian arms are clueless and inefficient.
Fred Beckhusen I emailed it to you.
ReplyDeleteAnd UPS have sent me a FINAL REMINDER. I'm going to "return it to sender" marked as "incorrect billee".

It's been paid
ReplyDeleteI know. Probably posted before they got the payment. It's just that this seems like speculative billing.
