Well, moving the 4k monitor to the RecRoom PC was a bust.

Well, moving the 4k monitor to the RecRoom PC was a bust. It seems that while I can get 1920 x 1080, it just blanks out for higher resolutions. Odd. And now Win10 seems to think that my sound is working, via the LG Monitor! I should actually check if it has speakers or not. There's two grills underneath, but I thought those were for cooling. No sound coming out.

However, I'm no worse off than I was yesterday. It's just a matter of research I suspect.

Update:
We have sound!

After I downloaded the PDF manual for the L24UD58-B, I realised that it had an audio jack in the back of the monitor. I plugged that in, no change. But then when I used to built in menu of the monitor I found that the default setting was low volume and muted. Sound works now, hurray!

Still haven't figured out the higher resolution yet, but that can wait. This monitor is still larger and has a crisper image than the previous one ever had!
