well, I imported bookmarks and passwords into Opera without problems. I discovered THIS extension (shown below), which means I can install a number of extensions that were designed for CHROME instead, and they work! This post is proof of that as it uses the CHROME version ADD TO ANY. Yahoo!

WORDSTAR!

WORDSTAR! I remember using version of Wordstar on my Spectravideo in CP/M mode. Everything was CONTROL-something, this or that!

I thought today I'd tackle the NUC again.

I thought today I'd tackle the NUC again. The Black Box finally connects with my network (via the LAN as well, not just the WiFi) and it's time I set up the network drives (I:, N: and O:) and tried setting up a Hypergrid enabled install of OpenSim 9.

I've been putting these off partly due to the weather, partly to Huey (yes, because he'd be likely to pull me away to accompany him romping in the backyard), and partly because this isn't the first time I've tried this, and I need to appr oach it in an ordered and calm fashion.

These are great tutorials for making architecture using Blender, but what I got excited about as well was the reference used, which is a good guide to the US building code. Check out the link on the video.

The man who can't face the internet - BBC News

'... He has more than 3,000 friends on Facebook and regularly updates his profile with personal information - where he is going on holiday, what he has cooked for dinner and the state of his health. But what he has never shared on the social network, or anywhere else online, is a picture of himself. ...'

The 1,680MW coal-fired plant was outpaced by tech billionaire Elon Musk’s giant lithium-ion battery when Victoria’s Loy Yang A3 unit failed early on December 14, The Gladstone Observer reports.

But, it's still just a big battery farm isn't it? Not that there's a shortage or either wind or sunny days here.

This is a Linux distro that's a successor to Lindows, an attempt to integrate a certain degree of Windows compatibility into a Linux design. This is the free version, there's also a paid one at $US 79! It might be worth reading http://www.freespire.org/15-things-that-make-freespire-special/ to see why you'd bother.

This post will draw ten political parallels between the telegraph and the Internet, two major communication developments of the last two centuries..

I've read of these parallels before. In many ways the international telegraphy/telephone network can be seen as "Internet 0.5".

Another Norton's Commander inspired descendant. This one looks solid enough.
