Can anyone point me to any resource which might explain if and how it's possible to either change the entries for trees and grass in OpenSimulator, or be able to edit the definitions of the vegetation created? It seems odd to be stuck with ONLY these options. I did find a set of TREE commands for the server (documented at http://forums.osgrid.org/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=2865) , but this seems to involve importing linksets to work.
Doc says type "trees load tree.xml" to replace any tree. Tree.xml would be made earlier, and saved to disk with the Singularity export commend.
ReplyDeleteFred Beckhusen How would that replace a specific tree with another? How could a forest be made by placing multiple trees of one or more types in a single console command? Anyone made a random forest in this manner or any other manner?
ReplyDeleteThe DB gets XML objects added to it when this module is enabled. I take back what I said - you woul dhave to edit the db to add new tree types. The load commands do load a variety of trees.
