I don't usually use GIMP, but it's good with effects and textures.

Just found a rare thing! a series of tutorials on producing metal textures in Gimp called Metal Wurks by Draconian. This is a texture I made after reading Part-1 it's seamless so will tile easily. Take a copy it if it's any use, it's a CC BY-NC 4.0 licence so credit me Vbinnia Radek please if you use it on a build you distribute. As I'm crap at textures I will jump on anything that helps me in Blender and Gimp and these tutorials are good. Go to this page to find links to, all, the tutorials. Three page of links in reverse order,

P.S. copying from google may be difficult so try from here. https://www.dropbox.com/s/hex5dvw3ye3nf4k/vb-chromeNbrass.png?dl=0
