The Good Guys did have cheap copies of Win 10 Home, but there were only 8 available, and the nearest was in Penrith, over 200 km away! A friend of mine suggested I check the pricing of online stores. I went to the online Microsoft store and it was $A 199, which matched what I could get at JB's (though Officeworks was $3 cheaper). However, there was a list of links discounted copies elsewhere. PB are selling it for $A 137 but I don't know what their reliability is. Must research this further. For that price I could afford to buy 3 copies.

    Fred Beckhusen Ah, that could be crucial, because all my PCs are 2-4 years old and updating things like that might be what I need to do next year. I already had issues when I swapped up system hard drives with Win 7 (one went from 500GB to 2TB) but I sorted that.

    If that's the case, perhaps I should just buy the full version, one at a time.

    Ha, I found a copy at Harvey Norman's Salamander Bay. Only a 2 hour bus trip each way.
