So, MORE STRANGE HAPPENINGS.


So, MORE STRANGE HAPPENINGS. I finished the 2nd backup, ejected the drive, and then found that both in Explorer and Double Commander that the files still showed! Not only that, I opened a phantom file in Adobe Photoshop and it was there! The drive this file is on is physically separated and sitting on on my left. The two USB extender cables connected to the USB3 ports at the back of the PC are on my right. I have a docking port connected and nothing else! And yet the file opens!!!!

I can only think that part of the issue is that I'm using the USB 3 ports which are on a card. Perhaps there's a buffer (maybe in Windows temp directory) that retains a copy of the files???

    VERY! Once I finish the current copy, I'll do a cold boot.This has to be something to do with the USB3 card.
